What’s included in my trip?

Your trip is completely taken care of and includes everything you need to explore Egypt and Jordan. From entry visas to private, knowledgeable tour guides, comfortable transportation, accommodations, airport assistance, specified meals, and more, you won’t have to worry about a thing. How do I book?

To book your trip, simply head over to our Contact Us page and fill in the form with your basic trip preferences. After you submit the form, we’ll be in touch with you to ask for more specific details and preferences. Once we have all the necessary information, our team will craft a custom tour itinerary tailored to your needs. We’ll send you the itinerary for your approval, and upon your satisfaction, you can confirm and book your reservation. It’s that easy!

How many people are on each tour?

Osiris Tours only provides private guided tours. This means that your tour guide will be exclusively dedicated to you and whoever is traveling with you. So, you won’t have to share the tour with any strangers.

Can I customize a trip?

Of course! We offer the flexibility to customize any of our tours at no additional charge. Whether you prefer to modify an existing itinerary or create a brand new one from scratch, we’ve got you covered.

Are there specific dates scheduled for these tours?

We provide private guided tours for our customers’ convenience. This means you can choose the day you want to leave based on your own schedule. We understand that everyone has their own commitments to manage, so we want to make sure you have the flexibility to select a departure date that works best for you.

What does the tour price not include?

The tour price does not cover the cost of flights to and from the starting and ending points, travel insurance, beverages, tipping, laundry, and other personal expenses, unless otherwise stated.

2. Payments

What’s the payment process?

To book your reservation, you can secure it by paying a 30% deposit upfront. You will need to pay the remaining 70% 90 days before your departure date. However, if you book within 90 days of your departure date, you will need to pay the total amount upfront.

What is the cancellation and refund policy?

The cancellation terms are based on how close to the departure date you cancel your reservation:
– If you cancel 90 days or more before departure, you will lose your deposit.
– If you cancel between 60 and 89 days before – departure, you will incur a 50% loss.
– If you cancel between 30 and 59 days before departure, you will incur a 70% loss.
– If you cancel 29 days or less before departure, you will incur a 100% loss.

Is travel insurance recommended?

It’s always a good idea to have travel insurance to be on the safe side. This will help you cope with situations such as trip cancellations, medical emergencies, and other unexpected events that could arise during your trip. It’s important to be prepared for the unexpected, and travel insurance can give you that peace of mind.

Is availability guaranteed before booking?

Upon booking, we will confirm the availability of the requested service. In some cases, we offer substitutions during busy seasons or for last-minute bookings made within 90 days. Please note that availability can only be guaranteed once the booking has been confirmed.

Does the trip include airfare to/from the start point?

Unless specified otherwise in the itinerary, the airfare to and from the start point is not included in the trip.

Could you arrange arrival and departure airfare?

Osiris Tours can help you arrange airfare to and from the starting and ending points of your tour. However, please note that the cost of airfare is not included in the listed tour price and will be an additional expense.

3. Documentation

Do I need a passport to travel to Egypt?

As an American or Canadian citizen, you’ll need a valid passport if you’re planning to travel to Egypt. Your passport should be valid for at least six months after the date you plan to return.

What should I do if my name differs between documents?

If your name varies between documents, it is important to inform us right away. Any inconsistency in your name across different documents could cause confusion and unnecessary delays. So, please let us know as soon as possible if you notice any discrepancy, and we will work with you to resolve the issue.

Will I need a visa to travel to Egypt?

Yes, you will require a visa, but don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. If you book with us, we’ll take care of obtaining the visa for you if you qualify for a visa upon arrival. This means you can avoid waiting in long lines at Cairo airport and start enjoying your trip right away. Please note if you do not qualify for a visa upon arrival, you must obtain the visa from an Egyptian embassy overseas prior to your arrival. However, if you have an American passport, you will be able to obtain the visa upon arrival, and we will take care of it for you.

Who do I look for at Cairo airport?

When you arrive at Cairo Airport, simply keep an eye out for a friendly representative from Osiris Tours. They will hold a sign with your name and be ready to assist you with transfers and coordinate your initial tours. They are there to ensure that your trip gets off to a great start, so don’t hesitate to approach them for help.

Can I make changes to my itinerary?

If you need to modify your itinerary, we’re happy to help! However, please note that changes are based on availability and may involve additional fees. If you require assistance, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our customer service team.

What is the best time to visit Egypt?

If you’re thinking of visiting Egypt, it’s worth noting that the best time to go is during the cooler months, from December through to February. However, it’s important to be mindful of the hot and dusty weather conditions that can arise in April. So, plan your trip accordingly, and enjoy your visit with us to this awe-inspiring destination.

What’s the policy for tips and gratuities?

We don’t include tips and gratuities for guides, drivers, and staff, but it’s entirely up to you if you want to tip. It’s based on the quality of service provided. Our team can guide you if you need help deciding on the amount. Before your trip departs, we will provide tipping guidelines to help you decide appropriate tip amounts for the services rendered.

Are there additional fees for a solo traveler?

The prices listed are for each person based on double occupancy. If you’re traveling alone, we can still make arrangements for you. Please be aware that a single supplement may apply.

How do living standards differ at the destination?

Living standards at the destination might differ from those in North America regarding utilities, services, and accommodation. It’s crucial to keep in mind that there could be a difference in the quality of life in these areas.

What type of outlet adapters do I need?

When traveling to Egypt or Jordan, you’ll need North American device adapters to charge your devices as they use 220V AC power. However, some areas may have 110V AC. The outlets require either Type C Europlugs or Type E and F Schuko plugs, so make sure to bring the appropriate adapters.

How is the internet connectivity in Egypt?

In Egypt, internet connectivity is available in most major cities through internet cafes. Hotels may also offer WiFi access at different rates, so it’s best to confirm availability with individual establishments.

What clothing is appropriate for women?

For women, it’s best to choose modest, lightweight, and loose-fitting outfits covering the legs below the knee. Avoid wearing tight or short clothing and instead opt for comfortable attire that suits the weather.

In Egypt, the official currency is the Egyptian Pound (EGP), while the Jordanian Dinar (JOD) is used in Jordan. You can use major credit cards to make payments, though checking with your bank is recommended to ensure compatibility with local card machines.

How much should I tip drivers, guides, and staff?
